Damask BB Theme
Classic…I guess is a good word to describe this new theme. Be it the ornately patterned wallpaper or the creamy (dreamy) color palette, I can’t help be feel like I’m stepping back in time whenever I use this theme. *sigh*
Regardless, Damask is a true gem of a BlackBerry theme. Rendered in the Bottom Zen style, this theme is available for 81xx, 82xx, 83xx, 88xx, 8900, 90xx, 95xx and 9630 series BlackBerry devices and can be found exclusively in the Shoppe for $5.55 each.
It’s hard to pick just one aspect about Damask that I like the most, but if I have to decide, I would have to choose this theme’s featured wallpaper. The pattern is something that I painstakingly drew out over the course of a few days (a few weeks ago). Words cannot express how proud I am of the end result; I’m already planning to do a similar complex-repeating-pattern project. 
There are a host of theme highlights featured in Damask, including original custom ‘wooden shelves’ placed in the Home Screen, Lock Screen and Incoming Call Screen. The shelves featured in the Home Screen and Lock Screen will remain whilst changing the wallpaper. That leads me to note that this theme is ‘wallpaper friendly’, wherein in-device wallpaper changes will be reflected in the Home Screen, Application Screen and Lock Screen. Also, with the Lock Screen, I have made it so the screen (despite the wallpaper being used) dims slightly as a means to make the Lock Screen info stand out more.
For Damask I designed a nice full set of creamy (dreamy) icons, all of which contrast quite nicely against the rich wooden shelves and ornate sage wallpapers. The Home Screens, for all compatible devices, feature five user customizable zen icons that scroll continuously. Meanwhile the dialog boxes, menus, meters, etc. all coordinate nicely to match the theme’s general color scheme of cream-sage-brown. Now, don’t let this color scheme deter you from purchasing Damask, I specifically chose very neutral colors as means to make it friendly to a host of different wallpapers…and really you will be surprised at how many wallpapers go well with this theme, especially landscapes.
Oh, and this theme features an all new animated hourglass. I can go on and on about how much I love this theme and can only hope that others feel the same.
