Impressions BB Theme

Impressions

“Summertime, an’ the livin’ is easy…”

Woot, Woot! It’s a new theme everyone!

First, I have to say that this is probably my favorite theme to date. I went through several drafts of this theme concept before I finally found a winner.

That being said, I am very proud to present Impressions, a vibrantly clean beach-inspired Bottom Zen theme. This theme features a bright color palette of yellows, oranges and blues, accented by textured glass elements. Impressions is available for 83xx, 88xx, 8900,9000, 9630 and 9700 series BlackBerry devicesĀ and can be found exclusively in the Shoppe for $5.75 each.

The background wallpaper featured in Impressions is a digital painting I completed a few weeks ago, entitled “Impressionistic Beach”. As the titles of both the wallpaper and theme denote, the 19th-century art movement, Impressionism was my inspiration whilst designing this particular piece. To compliment the wallpapers I’ve made a new tan-blue icon set, which changes to orange-blue when a icon is focused upon. The Home Screen features 6-7 user customizable icons stationed over a strip of textured glass. The same strip of glass is repeated in the Lock Screen, along with a convenient little message, “Phone is locked.” These textured glass elements are featured throughout the theme, most notably in the stylish banner(s). As usual, Impressions is a ‘wallpaper friendly’ theme and perhaps my most friendliest yet. Obviously, most beach orientated and seascape wallpapers will work great with this theme. However, I have tested Impressions with a host of different wallpapers have had great results thus far. Happy times!

All in all, Impressions is a great theme to help spruce up your BlackBerry for the summer season (and beyond).

NOTICE (7/7/09): A few people have contacted me in regards to whether or not Impressions will be made available in the ‘Plus’ style. Well…no, I don’t plan on making this theme in any other styles, sorry. I have attempted to make Impressions in the Plus style, but felt that the ‘Today’ section took away from the general flow of the theme, not to mention, covered up a key area in the composition of the background wallpaper. But rest assured, I do plan on incorporating the general layout featured in Impressions into a few of my future themes and will be sure to include a ‘Plus’ style version for (at least) one of these themes.
