Future Device/Theme Compatibility
In late-July, I finally upgraded from my old 8830 WE to a new ‘next gen’ BlackBerry smartphone. I am currently the proud owner of a 9630 BB Tour! I was even able to get my mom a Tour, as a result from Verizon’s current BOGO promotion.
Now, in light of my recent device upgrade and the current rate of new BB devices being released onto the market, I am making changes to the list of compatible devices for my future BlackBerry themes. In particular, I will be making all my new themes primarily for full-qwerty BB devices running OS 4.6 or higher only; namely for 8900 Curve, 9000 Bold and 9630 Tour devices. When the new 9700 ‘Onyx’ is officially launched, I plan on making themes for it as well.
I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this decision may cause my current customers who have yet to upgrade to any of the newer BlackBerry devices and/or whose device is not included in my new lineup of compatible devices. Theme development is very time consuming, as many of you may already know, but it is even more so, when a developer is attempting to make one theme compatible for a multitude of different devices/screen sizes with all original wallpapers, icons and graphics.
That being said, I can’t wait to release my newest theme, which will be launched very soon!
